About The Position

Job Title : Oncology Registered Nurse

Profession : Registered Nurse

Shift : Day

Hours per Shift : 8 hours (08 : 00 - 17 : 00)

Experience : 5 years in Oncology preferred, 3-4 years may be considered

License : ONCC / ONS required

Certifications : BLS, Chemo (ONS / ONCC)

Must-Have :

• 5 years of Oncology experience preferred
• Oncology certification
• Experience with administration and monitoring of chemotherapy

Description :

This position is for a Registered Nurse in Oncology.

The role will be located in a new state-of-the-art Cancer Center.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in oncology nursing.

Experience with administration of chemotherapy is required.

Responsibilities include continuous infusion and oral administration of chemotherapy.

The nurse will monitor patients undergoing chemotherapy treatments.

Care and management of ports and central lines are part of the job.

Knowledge of acute tumor lysis syndrome, anaphylaxis, and extravasation injury is essential.

Understanding of patient-related issues such as sepsis, spinal cord compression, and neutropenic precautions is important.

The role requires familiarity with charting in electronic health record systems.

Candidates must possess strong skills in patient management and communication.

There is no weekend or on-call requirement for this position.

The ideal candidate should be prepared for a patient-centered care environment.

Travelers should be flexible and able to adapt to different facilities as needed.
