Community hospital experience required

EPIC charting experience preferred

Description :

Community hospital seeks an experienced registered nurse for the emergency room.

This role involves providing care to a diverse patient population across all age groups.

The emergency room is a primary stroke center, treating various conditions including STEMI and administering thrombolytics for strokes.

The unit is equipped with 16 beds and can flex up in high census situations.

Registered nurses will be supported by ER techs for tasks such as starting IVs, drawing labs, and transporting patients.

Dedicated charge nurses will assist with patient flow throughout the shift.

The daily nurse patient ratio is typically 4 : 1.

Special procedures and capabilities included in this role range from managing arterial lines and blood products to continuous IV sedation.

Candidates must possess skills in managing various emergencies and patient conditions.

The unit offers an interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.

Candidates should have experience in rapid triage and management of critical patient conditions.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to providing compassionate and efficient care in a fast-paced environment.
