Job Description
Plumber (installer) is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings, including pipes, fixtures (like sinks, toilets, and bathtubs), and appliances, by reading blueprints, measuring, cutting, and assembling pipes, ensuring proper functionality and compliance with building codes while diagnosing and fixing leaks, clogs, and other plumbing issues; often requiring strong problem-solving abilities and customer service skills. Requires to be licensed (TSBPE)
Key responsibilities of a plumber (installer) :
1. Installation :
- Installing new plumbing systems in new construction or renovation projects, both being residential & commercial.
- Installing pipes, fittings, and fixtures according to specifications and building codes.
- Measuring, cutting, and threading pipes using appropriate tools.
- Connecting fixtures to the plumbing system, including sinks, toilets, showers, and bathtubs.
- Installing water heaters and other plumbing appliances.
