Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities :

• Coordinate and implement IEPs
• Implement positive behavior support strategies
• Assist with self-help, health, and behavior needs
• Keep accurate student performance records
• Conduct evaluations to measure progress
• Participate in meetings and district activities
• Maximize instructional time with effective scheduling
• Provide home-based activities as needed
• Direct paraprofessionals
• Support school improvement plans
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field

Valid Michigan state teaching certification in Special Education with approval to teach cognitively impaired, emotionally impaired, or autistic impaired students

Excellent communication and teamwork skills
