About the Role :
The Network & Systems Administrator is responsible for the overall health, performance, and security of our organization's hybrid IT infrastructure. This includes both our on-premise networks and servers as well as our rapidly expanding cloud-based services. This role requires a strong technical expert who can bridge the gap between traditional networking and modern cloud platforms, ensuring seamless and secure connectivity across all environments. Key Responsibilities
Help Desk & User Support
Manage IT service requests through Atera, Zendesk or equivalent ticketing systems.
Provide remote and on-site support using Microsoft Teams and SharePoint for knowledge-sharing.
Maintain documentation, SOPs, and KnowledgeBase resources for internal IT processes.
Systems & Asset Management
Administer Atera RMM platform for monitoring, patch management, and asset tracking.
Maintain accurate hardware / software inventory using Snipe-IT or similar tools.
Oversee software deployments, updates, and compliance with licensing requirements.
Security & Compliance
Manage Microsoft Defender , Fortinet firewalls, and Microsoft Intune endpoint management.
Conduct phishing campaigns, patch management, and vulnerability assessments in collaboration with security consultants.
Maintain compliance with HIPAA, data loss prevention (DLP) protocols, and incident response procedures.
Administer password management systems and enforce security best practices.
Networking & Connectivity
Support internet, VPN, and domain services, including Fortinet VPN .
Manage VoIP solutions like 3CX , RingCentral , and Twilio .
Troubleshoot network issues to ensure uptime and reliability across sites.
Storage & Backup
Oversee backup and archive solutions using Wasabi , SharePoint , OneDrive , and Citrix ShareFile .
Manage network storage and file servers, ensuring access controls and retention policies are enforced.
Systems Development & Integrations
Work with development teams to support environments using SSMS , DB Forge , Visual Studio , and VS Code .
Assist with data reporting pipelines and analytics integrations with SSRS and Power BI .
Productivity & Collaboration Tools
Support company-wide productivity tools such as O365 , Teams , Zoom / Webinars , Conga DocuSign , and Kahoot! .
Assist departments with setup and troubleshooting of applications like Visio , Microsoft Project , and CRM tools ( Salesforce , Monday , SuiteCRM ).
Required Qualifications
Education : Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience :
3+ years in a System Administrator or IT Support role.
Proven experience managing RMM tools, endpoint security, and VPNs.
Familiarity with VoIP systems, cloud storage, and ticketing systems.
Technical Skills :
Hands-on experience with Atera , Zendesk , Fortinet , Microsoft Defender , Intune , Snipe-IT , SharePoint / OneDrive , 3CX / RingCentral , Wasabi , and Citrix ShareFile .
Working knowledge of Microsoft environments including Microsoft Office 365 , Teams , SSRS , and Power BI .
Basic database familiarity ( SSMS , DB Forge ) and understanding of development workflows is a plus.
Soft Skills :
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills for end-user support and documentation.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with IT / security teams.
Preferred Certifications
CompTIA Network+, Security+, or A+.
Microsoft Certified : Azure Administrator Associate or M365 Certified : Modern Desktop Administrator Associate.
Fortinet NSE or equivalent firewall / security certification.
