Are you a detail-oriented and compassionate RN with a passion for surgical care? We’re seeking an Operating Room RN to join our perioperative team and provide high-quality care to patients undergoing operative and invasive procedures. From pre-op education to post-op recovery, you’ll support patients and their loved ones through every step of the surgical journey—addressing physical, psychological, and socio-cultural needs

Education and Experience Requirements

EDUCATION : Required :

Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing

Preferred : BSN

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS :

Required :

Valid Iowa Nursing license or from a reciprocating state

ACLS, BLS, PALS, & NRP Training

Preferred : BSN

Required :

Ability to take appropriate action in response to changes, problems, emergency situations

Ability to read and understand oral and written instructions

Proficient communication and interpersonal skills

Basic computer knowledge

Excellent customer service skills

Demonstrates accountability and flexibility when interacting with others

Preferred : BSN

Essential Job Functions

Provides patient care through the use of the Nursing Process. Uses clinical judgment and critical thinking skills to differentiate expected from unexpected responses in the patient’s condition.

Documents the delivery of care in a concise, accurate and timely manner.

Demonstrates fiscal responsibility in time management, resources and use of supplies.

Focuses on patient safety and maintains clinical competencies as required for all assigned areas as appropriate to scope and training. Advocates for patient.

Participates as a member of a supportive and collaborative team.

Maintains knowledge of and adheres to AORN Recommended Practices.

Maintains knowledge of and adheres to Surgery Policies and Procedures.

Performs all other duties as assigned.
