Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and dependable HR Coordinator to provide support to our Human Resources department. This role is essential in ensuring smooth daily operations, accurate recordkeeping, and effective communication between employees and management. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with new hire onboarding, orientation, and maintaining employee personnel files.
  • Support payroll processing by reviewing timesheets, attendance, and related documentation.
  • Prepare and maintain HR forms, employment verification letters, and compliance documents.
  • Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and employee inquiries.
  • Maintain HR systems and spreadsheets for employee data, certifications, and reporting needs.
  • Support compliance reporting (EEO, OSHA, certified payroll, etc.).
  • Provide administrative support such as scheduling, filing, drafting correspondence, and managing office communications.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of HR Coordinator or administrative support experience (road construction / field industry experience a plus).
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with payroll or HR software is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) Required. Candidate must be able to effectively understand and communicate in both English and Spanish.
