Job Title : Nurse Practitioner

Status : Non-Exempt, Part-Time

Department : Medical Services

Reports To : Medical Director

Job Summary : The Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive primary and preventive healthcare services, including urgent care, to a diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Patient Care :

Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including history taking and physical examinations.

  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Prescribe medications and other treatments as appropriate.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
  • Provide preventive care, such as vaccinations and health screenings.
  • Manage urgent care cases, including triage and initial treatment.
  • Respond to patient inquiries and medication refill requests.
  • Clinical Operations :
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient care.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in chart reviews and quality assurance activities.
  • Provide clinical guidance and support to nursing staff.
  • Become proficient in the electronic medical record system and serve as a resource for other clinicians.
  • Qualifications :

  • Education : Master's degree in Nursing with a focus on Family or Adult Nurse Practitioner.
  • Licensure : Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in the State of New Jersey.
  • Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in a primary care setting.
  • Skills :
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) or (Korean) preferred
