ACLS

PALS

Must-Have : Circulation experience in Ortho / Neuro cases

ENT case experience is required

Description :

General information about the unit includes 4 beds.

Average number of cases per day ranges from 7 to 13.

Minimum experience requirement is 1.5 years for RNs.

First-time travelers are acceptable only with 2 or more years of experience.

Travelers must reside more than 100 miles away from any facility.

Permanent staff must wait one full year before returning as travelers.

Case types include Ortho, Podiatry, Neurosurgical, Pain Management, and ENT.

Various surgical procedures performed include total joints, ORIF, microsurgery, laminectomy, fusion, discectomy, ACDF, pain injections, and ENT surgeries.

Support on the unit includes phlebotomy services.

An IV / VAT Team is not available.

A resource nurse is present.

There is no respiratory therapist on site.

Hospitalist services are not available.

An Anesthesia / CRNA team is present.

The charting system used is Epic.

There may be potential floating to other locations if needed.

Weekend rotation is not required.

Call is usually twice per week and will be discussed further during the manager's interview.

Holiday expectations include being available for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's.

Time off must be approved by the manager.

Scrub color is provided.
