Cleaner Job
The Cleaner will be responsible for the overall cleanliness of all areas of the facility to ensure a positive member experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Thoroughly clean and sanitize restrooms, locker room areas, fitness equipment and gym floor.
- Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing showers top to bottom, including under shower mats, around nozzles and shower doors
- Responsible for cleaning and disinfecting all toilets and urinals
- Wipe down tops and side of restroom stalls with stainless steel cleaner
- Clean all hand dryers, toilet paper holders and paper towel dispensers
- Clean and disinfect wiping down sink and around sink areas to include mirrors
- Vacuum all mats
- Detail sweep and mop (sweep of entire restroom floor before mopping to include mopping of entire restroom floor using clean water and a clean mop each time.)
- Dust off lockers on top, inside and out
- Ensure all toilet paper, and towel dispenses are full to include shower soap dispensers
- Empty all trash cans, including in each stall and vanity rooms
- Wipe down entrance and exit doors to restroom
Ensure entry areas are swept and mopped
Ensure entry and exit doors are clean and smudge freeEmpty entrance trash cansConduct periodically checks for debris and clean up as well as trash from entrance floorSweep / vacuum entire gym floor, making sure to get around and inside all weight and cardio equipment
Mop entire gym floor using clean water and a clean mop every timePick up any trash, paper or wrappers off the floor or machines frequentlyClean mirrors and windows and spot check them frequentlyWipe down window ledges, water fountains, generators, exit signs, any foliage and fire hydrantsDust ceiling fans, televisions and extractors and vents once a weekEnsure all paper towel dispensers and sanitizing spray bottles are full at all timesWipe down round tables and chairsThrow out trash in all Black Spa area

Dump out dirty mop water and clean out mop bucketRinse off and prepare mop for next usageInform General Club Manager of any needed products or when supplies are running lowTake out all garbage to outside dumpster and replace with new bagsClean or wipe down any areas that look dirty or dusty as necessaryClean parking lot areas as neededStock locker rooms with proper supplies / paper products.
Report any broken or missing amenities or equipment (toilets, faucets, showers, hair dryers, gym equipment etc.) to the Club Manager.
Follow "Lost and Found Policy" and turn in lost member property to the Club Manager / Assistant Club Manager immediately.
Qualifications / Requirements
Custodial experience is preferred.Punctuality and reliability is a must.Ability to work third shift is a must.Honesty and exceptional work ethic.Ability to solve problems independently.Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language.High School diploma / GED equivalent required.Must be 18 years of age or older.Physical Demands
Continual standing and walking during shift.Continual reaching with hands / fingers / arms during shift.Occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling and crouching during shift.Must be able to occasionally lift over 80 pounds.
