Pay Rate Range : $30.00 - $37.00 / hr on W2

first shift M-F and start between 7 : 30 and 8 : 30 with a finish between 4 : 00 and 5 : 30 depending on start time and if you take 30 minutes or an hour for lunch

The ideal candidate will have direct experience working with equipment — including repair, calibration, and installation. While our focus is on laboratory equipment, we value experience with electronic or mechanical systems of any kind. A strong troubleshooting mindset and familiarity with tools and diagnostics are essential.
We're looking for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who can adapt their skills to a variety of equipment and situations. Whether it's understanding how a system works or figuring out how to fix it, this person should be comfortable diving into unfamiliar setups and applying sound mechanical reasoning.
As part of a small, agile team (you'll be the fourth member), we need someone who takes full ownership of their work. You'll be trusted to manage tasks independently, follow through on commitments, and proactively solve problems — without needing constant oversight. Reliability, initiative, and a sense of responsibility are key.
Position Summary
The Facilities Maintenance Technician II is responsible for performing a wide variety of maintenance activities in a clean manufacturing setting. Work will include inspections, calibrations, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of all systems within the company facilities. The position will perform work in one or more of the following maintenance trades; metrology, electrical, electronics, plumbing, high purity water systems, steam (boiler) systems.
Essential Functions
o Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on building and manufacturing and Lab equipment.
o Initiate, complete, and close out work orders using the Computerized Maintenance Management System.
o Schedule and escort outside service providers
o Respond to emergencies, participating in the rotating on-call program.
o Assist facilities department management on decisions involving areas of expertise.
o Assist in training of other department personnel in subject matter expertise.

Working Conditions
At times this position works in a Clinical and Research Grade lab setting and may come in contact with various solutions and chemicals. This position uses hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment. This position will require driving a vehicle and work indoors and outdoors.
Physical Requirements :
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to see, talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, and use arms, hands and fingers for various activities. This position may stand or remain sedentary for long periods of time. This position routinely works with large pieces of equipment.
