What you'll do :

The Accountant assists the Accounting Manager by performing various accounting procedures including month end close tasks, maintenance of the general ledger and related account reconciliations.

As an Accountant, you will be responsible for :

• Assist in the month-end close, including preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and analyzing and reviewing account classifications in accordance with GAAP.
• Perform monthly sales tax related duties, including supporting the monthly sales tax return process and recording sales tax journal entries.
• Manage Fixed Asset, Royalty Receivable, and Prepaid Expense accounts.
• Work closely with IT in testing and new procedures between ERP and other systems.
• Monitor cash balances, perform daily and monthly cash management analysis.
• Manage Secretary of State registrations.
• Review vendor invoices and work with the team to rule out discrepancies. Complete invoice corrections appropriately.
• Help with annual audit requirements of outside auditors.
• Participate in the Accounting team's efforts to establish and implement effective financial controls, policies and systems.
• Perform various other tasks as assigned.
