Position Summary :
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Hcm System Manager to lead the administration, development, and optimization of our Workday Human Capital Management (Hcm) system. This role requires a leader who can effectively balance technical expertise with business acumen, drive operational excellence, and influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization. The successful candidate will have proven experience with leadership, managing enterprise systems, making impactful decisions to support organizational growth and efficiency, and a deep understanding of HR operations. You will serve as a key liaison between HR, Org Development, IT, Operations, and various business units to ensure the system meets evolving organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities :
Design & Strategy
- Overall ownership for the ongoing design, deployment, and maintenance of the Workday Hcm system
- Manages all aspects of planning, development, administration, optimization, testing, configuration, data management, implementation activities for associated modules, reporting, and user support
- Develop and execute a strategic roadmap aligned with organizational goals, ensuring Workday becomes the digital front door for people operations
- Monitor Workday technology trends, recommend and drive innovations to enhance system capabilities and user experience
Team & Stakeholder Management
Lead and mentor the Workday Support Team, including administrators, analysts, and consultants ensuring day-to-day systems support is balanced with strategic enhancements and projectsCollaborate with stakeholders, IT, and external vendors to align system capabilities with business needs and continuously improve service deliveryIdentify and promote training and continuous learning for end users and the Workday Support TeamProject & Change Management
Oversee end-to-end project lifecycles including planning, testing, deployment, and post-go-live supportEstablish and lead project management discipline, governance and change management processes to ensure successful adoptionManage system implementations, upgrades, integrations, and enhancements with a focus on user experience and business valueConfiguration & Support
Lead the configuration and maintenance activities for Workday modules : Core Hcm, Compensation, Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking, Talent Management, Recruiting, Learning, Reporting and PrismTroubleshoot and resolve system issues, ensuring platform health and continuous improvementServe as a subject matter expert for Workday functionality and best practicesReporting, Analytics & Data Management
Support the design and development of dashboards and custom reports to support data-driven decision-makingEnsure data integrity through regular audits, resolving data discrepancies, and implementing data quality controlsLeverage AI and analytics to enhance insights, automate processes, and improve user experienceCompliance & Best Practices
Overall accountability for data governance, security and compliance with legal and regulatory requirementsEnsure up-to-date documentation of system functions, processes, capabilitiesPromote Workday best practices and stay current with updates via Workday Community, Workday learning modules, and networkingKnowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Proven experience related to implementation, configuration, and maintenance of Hcm systemsStrong understanding of HR processes, data management, and system integrationsExcellent project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills including the ability to clearly articulate messages within all levels in the organization, including breaking down complex topics for target audiencesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentAbility to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up and resolutionAbility to motivate and set the direction for a teamDemonstrate high levels of integrity, discretion and confidentialityQualifications :
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field5+ years of Workday Hcm experience, including 2+ years in a managerial roleWorkday certification(s) preferred (e.g., Core Hcm, Compensation, Advanced Reporting)Project Management Certification and SHRM-CP a plusBenefits may include :
