MBS is hiring a Java Developer Level 2 in Blue Ash, OH. This position is full-time, temp to hire opportunity.

FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contribute to the design and development of scalable backend systems using Java
  • Build and consume REST APIs in a secure, performant environment
  • Support cloud-native application development on Azure (or equivalent cloud)
  • Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and other agile ceremonies
  • Ensure quality and maintainability of code through best practices and peer review
  • Help troubleshoot and resolve production issues as needed
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support a high-quality user experience

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of experience in Java development (JavaScript is a bonus)
  • 2+ years of experience deploying to cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, or AWS)
  • 3+ years working with REST APIs (design, creation, consumption); familiarity with OpenAPI / Swagger is a plus, not a requirement
  • Experience with CI / CD pipelines, Git, and JIRA
  • Experience working in secure environments (e.g., HIPAA, PII, PCI compliance)
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills; ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholder
  • Java expertise is required
  • Experience with REST APIs is important; OpenAPI / Swagger is a bonus, not a must
  • Cloud experience (Azure, GCP, or AWS) is a plus
  • Healthcare experience or familiarity with compliance (HIPAA, PII) is a bonus
  • Candidates MUST be comfortable with hybrid expectations
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to move or lift up to 50+ lbs.
  • Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel.
  • Ability to utilize hand / eye coordination.
  • Capability to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Communication skills.
