Job Summary

  • Four attorney general practice law firm on northeast Nassau-Queens border seeks full-time experienced personal injury paralegal to assist attorneys with trial and pre-trial matters as well as transactional matters.

    • General Accountabilities

  • Organizes, enters and cross-references documents in a computerized database.
  • Obtains, assembles and organizes documents pertinent to litigation.
  • Prepares pleadings, discovery requests and responses.
  • Processes medical record requests, no fault applications and obtains lien information.
  • Manages calendar, schedules depositions and appearances
  • Job entails significant direct communication with clients

    • Job Qualifications

  • Experience : 2 or more years of personal injury paralegal experience
  • Dependability and Promptness
  • Good computer skills - experience with LEAP, Lexis, HotDocs, NYSCEF a plus
  • Good Organizational skills
  • Willingness and ability to work with others
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently
  • Open to change and willing to learn new skills
