Job Overview

Become part of a dynamic team that balances investigative and protective responsibilities. Special agents carry out assignments across investigations and protection, often at multiple duty stations nationwide and internationally. Responsibilities include :

  • Providing protection for various protectees.
  • Conducting criminal investigations related to U.S. financial obligations.
  • Planning and executing security measures for National Special Security Events.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to carry and proficiently use a firearm
  • Age between 21 and 37 at the time of conditional employment offer (with exceptions for veterans and prior federal service)
  • Top Secret security clearance
  • Uncorrected visual acuity of no worse than 20 / 100 binocular, corrected to 20 / 20 in each eye
  • Hearing within specified limits
  • Successful completion of training at FLETC and James J. Rowley Training Center
  • Willingness to accept assignments nationwide and abroad
  • Registration with the Selective Service System or exemption
