    Job Description

    PURPOSE AND SCOPE :

    The Coordinator I, Assessment Center, works in collaboration with the Program Manager, Student Services for Lone Star College-Creekside Center, which includes Admissions, Advising, Disability Services, and all Student Services functions.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

  • Recruit, hire, and schedule Proctors while prioritizing their tasks and organizing training materials
  • Creates and submits a variety of reports related to assigned department; Performs research and analysis to assist with preparation and presentation of findings; May make presentations at various levels both internally and externally
  • Some positions may assist with maintaining compliance of processes and documentation
  • Coordinates the day-to-day operations of the Assessment Center. Assists with retention regarding FTIC / returning students by offering guidance on registration after TSIA2 testing
  • Assists with evaluation of programs and makes recommendations for revisions to processes and procedures, with a focus on continuous departmental / process improvement; Assists with the development of new programs
  • Coordinates and manages various department and management calendars and schedules; Assists with planning, schedules, and coordinates various meetings / seminars / events, including site selection and preparation, marketing and training materials, and general support
  • Monitors and controls resources such as office supplies and equipment needed within the department; Submits requisitions and follows up with reconciliation documentation
  • Collaborates with internal and external groups to coordinate all aspects of various student organizational activities and recreational events
  • Takes part in and / or leads special projects as needed
  • Make sound, ethical judgments in regards to exam security. Solve testing problems with computers, students, and teachers
  • Perform customer service functions, including welcoming students, providing testing instructions / to students, and assisting students and faculty in person, by e-mail, and by phone
  • Return testing documents to instructors
  • Responsible for other reasonable related duties as assigned

  • PHYSICAL ABILITIES :

    The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.

    WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS :

  • Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone, and other general office equipment
  • Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position
  • Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards
  • REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Associate degree or higher and at least 1 year of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Bachelor's degree

    Hiring salary range is $38,761 - $44,576

    Lone Star College provides a hiring salary range for all posted full-time non-faculty positions. Where your salary offer would fall in that range is determined by your related experience and education. Should you receive an offer of employment from Lone Star College, the resume submitted in the application process will be utilized to calculate your salary offer.
