American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and active CNMT or NMTCB certification for adult Nuclear Cardiology and radiology procedures.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in an acute care hospital setting specializing in adult Nuclear Medicine and Nuclear CardiologyMonday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts with varying start times between 5 : 00 AM and 9 : 00 AMRotating on-call coverage for one week at a time, including after-hours, Saturdays, and SundaysDepartment requires multitasking and teamwork for various nuclear medicine proceduresPerform procedures such as gastric emptying, HIDA scan, MUGA scan, 3 phase bone scan, whole body bone scan, liver imaging, perfusion, ventilation / perfusion, stress testing and isolation precautionsExpected to start and maintain peripheral IVsUses Cerner EMR, Cerner experience requiredFloating to affiliate hospitals or within the hospital may be requiredMust be willing to multitask, work as a team player, and adapt to changing unit needsCandidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidaysFirst-time travelers are accepted for this positionLocal candidates are acceptedUp to 5 days of requested time off may be auto-approvedReturned travelers must be separated from former employment at the facility for at least 12 monthsFree parking available on-siteCall schedule details should be confirmed with manager\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum 2 years recent experience in Nuclear MedicineActive BLS and either CNMT or NMTCB certification requiredCurrent and valid Indiana state license required; pending license not acceptedGraduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited university requiredAbility to safely handle, store, and dispose of radioactive materialsExperience in adult patient population and Nuclear Cardiology requiredLicense required if applicable\n Benefits\n
