Material Control Specialist

Join our team as a Material Control Specialist in the Shipping / Receiving department of our heavy industrial facility. This role involves receiving all metal and related parts for assembly, performing cycle counts, and staging product through production. You will occasionally operate a sit-down forklift, but 90% of your day will be spent on your feet. Responsibilities include lifting and loading 50-75 pounds and handling materials throughout the day. You may also use a table grinder to smooth metals for production, followed by packaging, wrapping, and labeling products for shipment.

Responsibilities

• Receive and manage all metal and related parts for assembly.
• Perform inventory control and cycle counts.
• Stage products through the production process.
• Operate a sit-down forklift occasionally.
• Lift and load 50-75 pounds consistently.
• Handle materials throughout the day.
• Use a table grinder to grind and smooth metals.
• Package, wrap, and label products for shipping.

Work Environment

The work environment is a large, open bay production facility with multiple work stations and bays. The production floor is not climate-controlled, though industrial-sized ceiling fans help circulate air. Employees will use safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, and ear plugs when necessary.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00 / hr.
