Responsibilities Work in the Operating Room of a hospital environment specializing in oncology cases Day / evening rotating shifts with a combination of 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts Required to work various shift patterns including 4x10s, 5x8s, or 2x8s 2x12s based on unit need Call required, typically 2-3 per 4-week schedule period, with evening, night, and weekend coverage Float as needed within the unit Patient population includes neuro, thoracic, ENT, ortho, general, plastics, urology, GU / GYN, free flaps, robotics, and oncology cases EPIC EMR is used and prior experience is required Provide high-quality nursing care to surgical and oncology patients in the operating room Collaborate closely with the surgical and interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes Call includes evening, night, and weekend responsibilities as scheduled Applicants must promptly complete Ohio fingerprinting requirements after contract signing Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers All requested time off must be declared at the time of contract and built into the agreement No coworker references accepted; leadership references required Candidates outside Ohio may receive a fingerprint packet by mail with urgent completion required Requirements Active OH or compact RN license required at time of consideration Minimum of 2 years recent Operating Room RN experience required Current BCLS certification required Able to both circulate and scrub EPIC documentation experience required Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program required At least 2 professional references required, with one from a manager, director, or charge RN Must not be a current employee at any Ohio State University hospital location Former employees must have at least a 6-month gap from prior facility employment Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-628004.
