GARNEY CONSTRUCTION

As a Division Manager, Talent Acquisition in North Kansas City, MO at Garney Construction you will lead all corporate and operational hiring (field, college, professional). Collaborate with business partners across all divisions, using strategic acumen and law knowledge to develop and execute timely recruiting plans. Supervise and mentor the Talent Acquisition team, serve as the subject matter expert, establish hiring goals, and ensure staffing aligns with organizational strategy.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Ensures that all phases of the talent acquisition and selection process comply with applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations, guidelines, and Garney policies.
  • Manages and executes talent acquisition strategy for all field craft hourly job openings and works closely with hiring managers to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Manage relationships with internal hiring managers, directors, and senior staff to build and maintain trusted and effective interactions.
  • Conducts candidate screening (applications, resumes, and phone screens). Assesses candidates for position qualifications matching the skills, education, experience, strengths, attributes, and long-term interest for growth with Garney.
  • Assists with the selection practices including training hiring managers and interviewers.
  • Responds to both internal and external applicants on job opportunities, resumes, interview, and hiring process. Provides a positive candidate experience when responding to candidate questions, complaints, and appeals.
  • Tracks hiring statistics, such as number of posting views, success of posting sites, and timeline to hire. Analyzes and holds retrospective with hiring manager and stakeholders to manage learnings and fine-tune processes to improve it and quantify successes to duplicate. Shares and presents metrics and other recruiting metrics with management, including hiring managers and senior management on a regular cadence.
  • Ensures data is accurately input and reflected in Garney's applicant tracking system (ATS).

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field of business, human resources or operations management. Aminimum of 5 years of prior recruiting management experience in a high volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Knowledge of hiring, classification, benefits, negotiation, and federal, state, and local employment regulations.
  • Experience in recruitment, talent acquisition and sourcing strategies and practices.
