Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Located in Genoa, IL, this contract opportunity for the 2025-2026 school year seeks a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide essential services in a dynamic educational setting. Candidates with expertise in healthcare, pediatrics, school settings, Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), or those holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) are encouraged to apply. Both full-time and part-time positions are available.

Responsibilities include managing a caseload divided by classroom assignments, typically ranging from 2 to 4 classrooms. Each classroom may have up to 10 students, primarily those with Autism spectrum disorder as a primary or secondary disability, spanning Kindergarten through transition-age students (12+). The student population presents a wide spectrum of communication abilitiesfrom nonverbal students to those just beginning to use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices, as well as fluent AAC users.

Key qualifications and desired experience :

  • Active Illinois license as an SLP or SLPA
  • For SLP candidates : possession of a Professional Educators License (PEL) for Illinois schools through the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
  • Experience working with students who have Autism and diverse communication needs is highly valued
  • Familiarity with AAC and various communication modalities
