Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Position

Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule Shift : 7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week.

Job Description The Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients across various units, including NICU, PICU, acute care pediatrics, and emergency departments, as well as adult acute and critical care settings. This role requires expertise in managing different ventilation equipment and a commitment to patient-centered care in a challenging environment.

Responsibilities Deliver respiratory therapy treatments as per physician orders.

Monitor and assess patient respiratory status and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Float to other units as needed, providing flexibility and support across the facility.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 3 years of experience in a tertiary, teaching hospital, Level 1 trauma center.

BLS certification is required; ACLS certification is preferred.

NRP certification is required for NICU responsibilities.

Experience with ventilation equipment including Drager V500 and VN500, Hamilton T1 and C1, and others.

Pediatric and adult acute care experience is essential.
