Sparity Health is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Watertown, New York.

12-hour shifts - weekend, holiday, and call required

7p-7a

13 weeks

FLOAT : MS 4 Pav, MS 5 Prat,t and the acute inpatient rehab (ortho / neuro)

BLS, ACLS REQUIRED

RATIO : 1 : 5-6

Meditech experience required

Traveler must hold a CURRENT NY license.

Travelers should have completed at least 1 successful traveler assignment.

First-time travelers will NOT be considered.

Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing.

Common patient diagnoses : Septic, COPD, CHF, post op, general med surg, post-op plastics, ALC (waiting to go to nursing home)\nRequired drips and medications : Heparin drips, mag and K riders\nPossesses a thorough knowledge of nursing principles. Ability to provide quality patient care, and ability to assess patients' needs, e.g., clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual.\nMust recognize safety issues to self and others and be able to assess and implement the use of lifts to move patients in a safe manner.\nMust be able to function well in stressful situations and have good, creative, problem-solving skills.\nStrong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate.\nMay be required to assume duties as a charge nurse.\nExcellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills required.
