About The Position

Job Title : Cardiac Cath Lab / EP Nurse

Profession : Nursing

Specialty : RN

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 8-hour Day Shift

Hours per Shift : 32 hours per week

Experience : 3-5 years with Cath lab experience preferred.

License : RN License required.

Certifications : Required : BLS, ACLS. Preferred : RCIS, RTR.

Must-Have :

Strong Cath Lab RN or Tech experience.

EP experience is preferred.

Description :

This position involves working in a Cardiac Cath Lab environment.

The facility provides care for patients undergoing various cardiac procedures.

Average cases range from 1-16 per day, depending on the day's schedule.

Patient types include STEMI / NSTEMI, Angioplasty / Angiography, and electrophysiology cases.

The RN or Tech will work with patients requiring pacemakers, generator changes, and ICD lead revisions.

Covid testing protocols are in place for patients.

Staff are required to wear full PPE until test results are confirmed.

The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1 : 1.

Required skills include monitoring, scrubbing, and sheath pulls.

Experience with complex cases and IABP placement is preferred.

The unit is supported by a manager, supervisor, and other staff members.

Charting systems include EPIC and Mac Lab.

There may be opportunities for floating to EP if experienced.

Scheduling includes a weekday rotation and on-call for weekends.

Response time for on-call is expected to be within 30 minutes.

Holiday expectations include one holiday during the assignment.

RTO policies allow for time off requests to be approved.

Scrub colors will be provided by the facility.

The work culture focuses on rebuilding and growing the Cath lab department.
