Job Title : Buyer III
Pay : $65,000 – $70,000 DOE
Schedule : Monday – Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM
Location : Near Midtown, OK (Temp-to-Hire, On-Site)
Position Summary :
We are seeking an experienced Buyer III to manage the procurement of critical commodities, materials, and components essential to operational and production functions. This role will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods while maintaining compliance with policies, regulations, and contract requirements. The Buyer III will play a key role in strengthening supplier relationships, improving procurement strategies, and supporting operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities :
- Execute purchase orders and ensure on-time delivery of materials from requisition to fulfillment.
- Manage vendor relationships and maintain multiple qualified sources of supply.
- Research and analyze global supplier networks to minimize downtime and reduce risk.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure favorable conditions.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate supply chain risks; implement contingency plans as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality, Finance, and Operations.
- Review technical documentation to identify required components and parts.
- Provide AOG (Aircraft on Ground) material support when necessary.
- Analyze purchasing data to identify cost savings and process improvement opportunities.
- Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards.
- Prepare and present procurement reports, highlighting supplier performance and key metrics.
Qualifications :
Associate degree in supply chain, business, or a related field (may substitute equivalent experience).5+ years of procurement or strategic sourcing experience, preferably in aviation.Strong negotiation skills and experience managing vendor pricing and performance.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.Valid Driver’s License required.Preferred Qualifications :
Experience procuring aviation parts and materials for Part 121 or Part 135 aircraft operators.Background in technical manufacturing and program management.Work Environment :
Office-based role, standard office equipment.Primarily sedentary but may require light physical activity.
