Job Summary :
As a Patient Care Technician, you will provide essential support in patient care, assisting with hygiene, nutrition, mobility, elimination, and safety. Your responsibilities will include :
Documenting patient care accurately in health records according to established guidelines.Completing patient intake tasks such as recording vital signs, height, weight, and completing personal belongings documentation.Responding promptly to call lights and addressing resident needs.Performing regular rounds to ensure resident comfort and safety.Repositioning residents regularly to prevent discomfort and related complications.Measuring and recording intake and output, reporting any significant changes to the Charge Nurse.Assisting with medical procedures as directed by the Charge Nurse.Monitoring and maintaining supplies and equipment on the unit.Interacting positively with team members and other healthcare professionals to provide the best care possible.Maintaining confidentiality and professionally handling sensitive information.Giving thorough reports to the Charge Nurse at the end of each shift.Qualifications :
High school diploma preferred, not required.Active Certified Nursing Assistant certification in your state.CPR certification required or willingness to obtain within six months of employment.Experience in long-term care preferred.Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients, visitors, and staff.Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods.Capability to lift and transfer patients weighing over 200 pounds safely.Manual dexterity and coordination for optimal patient care.Ability to perform documentation tasks in writing or using technology.Visual ability to distinguish colors and maintain accurate records.Compensation : Pay ranges from $16.08 to $25.24 per hour, reflecting experience and skills.
