Job Summary :

The Automotive Mechanic Senior will modify cars and trucks in a prototype environment, performing a

wide range of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance. The Automotive Mechanic Senior mentors and

oversees team members technical deliverables to ensure Roush and customer standards are met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Maintain vehicle functional condition by working off repair orders or leader instructions and

conducting inspections.

Repair mechanical and electrical system malfunctions and replace parts and components.

Read, interpret, and follow service procedures.

Train, coach, and mentor team members related to their job responsibilities and is available as a

subject matter expert to assist the team and customers.

Maintain vehicle records by entering notes, service, and repair orders.

Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting

breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, calling for repairs.

Lead daily shop organization and clean-up.

Education and Experience (required) :

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of 8 years of work experience as a Mechanic.

Excellent knowledge of mechanical assembly and ability to operate shop equipment.

Good attention to detail and organizational skills.

Able to work independently and as part of a team and able to mentor and train

others.

Has own tools with rolling toolbox.

Ability to read, comprehend and execute written procedures.

Education and Experience (preferred) :

Certificate in Automotive Technology or related.

State Mechanic Certification(s).

Valid drivers license.

Knowledge of vehicle alignments, air conditioning (A / C) system repairs, tire machines and

balancers.

Ability to work overtime as needed including weekend
