Responsibilities

• Understand and follow a batch ticket (recipe) with a high degree of accuracy for weights and measurements.
• Perform a wide variety of complex testing processes on production batches, such as viscosity, weight per unit of measure, flow, gloss, color characteristics, and other tests.
• Test materials from suppliers and production batches.
• Conduct standard testing procedures, including preparation of materials, with attention to detail and high quality.
• Follow daily work plan for Lab Work Request or project plan.
• Accurately document work in lab notebooks, either physical or electronic.
• Recognize roadblocks or anomalies and resolve them or communicate concerns with a chemist in a timely manner.
• Ensure raw materials are available and correctly labeled.
• Correctly label and mail samples.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Tint batches without assistance.
• Calculate resin composites.
• Maintain QC records using a web-based computer system.
• Prepare records for submission.
• Perform testing on lab equipment such as viscosity, pH, weight per gallon, and percentage of solids.
• Perform draw downs.
• Utilize ovens.
• Maintain and perform calibrations on machines.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.25 - $25.25 / hr.
