About The Position

Description : Locals accepted.

Will accept 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts.

Diagnosis includes Labor and Delivery, Antepartum, Gyn patients, Gestational Hypertension, Diabetes Mellitus, Multi-Birth.

BCLS and NRP are required certifications.

Unit procedures include Circumcisions, Hearing screens, Newborn Screens, General admissions, C-Sections, and Inductions of Labor.

Preferred experience includes Level 2 nursery experience, circulating, scrubbing, and triage.

No call requirements.

Required to work 1 Friday, 1 Saturday, and 1 Sunday shift on every 4-week schedule.

They do not have to be consecutive unless desired.

Current average deliveries per month is 140, with an influx expected to increase to the 160s over the next several months.

In-house part-time physicians are available, with on-call coverage for the remaining hours.

Staffing involves 1 charge nurse, 6-7 nurses, and 1 scrub nurse per shift, with adjustments based on census.

Patient ratios are 1-3.

The unit caters to neonates, infants, and adults, with a daily census of around 20.

Special procedures on the unit include Circumcisions, Hearing screens, Newborn Screens, General admissions, C-Sections, and Inductions of Labor.

Special equipment includes incubators, labor beds, patient monitors, and IV pumps.

Travelers must complete certain health and safety requirements.

Candidates who live within a specified distance from the facility are considered locals and are not accepted for travel positions.
