Position Description :

We are seeking an experienced GRC Integration Independent Contractor to support our healthcare clients in both optimizing and automating existing GRC platforms as well as implementing new solutions to enhance audit alignment and compliance efficiency. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in configuring, integrating, and administering GRC tools (with a focus on ServiceNow) within healthcare environments. This role requires a strong understanding of audit workflows, control testing, and regulatory frameworks, ensuring that GRC platforms effectively streamline governance, risk, and compliance activities across the enterprise.

Responsibilities include :

  • Configure, administer, and optimize ServiceNow GRC modules to align with healthcare compliance and risk management requirements.
  • Partner with client stakeholders to integrate regulatory frameworks (HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2, PCI DSS, NIST CSF) into GRC workflows and reporting.
  • Translate business and compliance requirements into effective system design, dashboards, and controls monitoring.
  • Support audit readiness by enabling evidence collection, control testing, and workflow automation within GRC tools.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on internal audit, IT risk management, and healthcare regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with Meditology consultants and client teams to ensure successful deployment and adoption of GRC capabilities.
  • Deliver clear documentation, knowledge transfer, and best practice guidance to client teams.
  • Integrating the GRC solution with other platforms in the tech stack.

Qualifications :

  • Proven experience configuring and administering ServiceNow GRC in healthcare environments.
  • Strong background in audit, internal controls, or internal audit functions.
  • General understanding of security and compliance frameworks : HITRUST, SOC 2, PCI DSS, HIPAA, NIST CSF.
  • Ability to translate compliance requirements into technical solutions within GRC platforms.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently as a contractor.
  • Preferred / Bonus Experience :

  • Experience with multiple GRC platforms beyond ServiceNow (e.g., Archer, MetricStream, OneTrust, AuditBoard, ZenGRC, LogicGate).
  • Hands-on healthcare compliance experience (HIPAA Security Rule, HITRUST r2 / i1, etc.).
  • Familiarity with automation and integration between GRC and other enterprise tools (e.g., vulnerability management, asset inventory, identity systems).
  • Experience leveraging AI to automate and expediate the evidence collection process.
  • Engagement Details :

  • Contract Role – duration and scope to be defined based on project needs.
  • Remote with potential for limited travel to client sites.
  • Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
  • Pay Range : Dependent on relevant experience. Estimated Range : $50-$70 per hour.
