Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or improve existing computer systems, requiring strong development skills to design, build, and implement effective technical solutions.
This position will support and maintain existing Rhapsody, .NET-based applications and infrastructure, assist with troubleshooting and automation, and play a key role in planning and guiding a modernization effort for legacy systems. The resource will also contribute to evaluating and recommending technologies and tools to support the modernization of our disease surveillance and data infrastructure.
A critical requirement for this role is strong experience with the Rhapsody Integration Engine , as the contractor will be responsible for managing and enhancing public health data exchange workflows. Familiarity with Oracle PL / SQL is a plus and will support data-related tasks but is not a primary focus of the role.
The contractor must also be capable of supporting critical public health data exchange processes, including managing data flows between external organizations, DPH, and CDC; troubleshooting the NEDSS Base System (NBS); implementing upgrades and new modules; and maintaining ancillary systems and tools such as NBS Utilities and the ELR data store.
