Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A middle school in Everett, WA is seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to provide in-person support for the uping school year. This position offers a contract from September 3, 2025, through June 17, 2026, with a possible extension to acmodate snow days or additional scheduling needs. A planning day prior to the start date is also required.

The role involves working directly with middle school students, facilitating effective munication and access to the curriculum through sign language interpretation. The schedule includes 6.5 hours per day, totaling 32.5 hours per week. A minimum EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) rating of 4.0 is required to ensure high-quality interpretation services.

Key responsibilities include :

• Providing clear and accurate sign language interpretation for middle school students in classroom settings
• Collaborating with educators and support staff to support student learning and participation
• Adapting interpretation according to individual student needs and munication styles
• Attending planning sessions and ongoing meetings as required
