Compliance Manager
Under general direction, this position is responsible for carrying out and overseeing the day-to-day delivery of compliance programs and services aligned to one or more functional areas (e.g., Employment / Labor Advisory, International). The incumbent collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to respond to business and / or employee needs.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide advice, counsel and guidance to all levels of management and staff on company policies and procedures
- Provide advice and resolution to HR, managers and employees on employee relations discrepancies, problems and issues; maintain open communication to offer guidance on employee relations protocols, promote employee satisfaction and foster a positive working environment
- Maintain and revise existing policies and procedures for employee relations and compliance programs to ensure compliance with new or proposed regulations
- Conduct compliance training programs to keep staff informed of compliance issues and regulatory changes; provide suggestions to make improvements in compliance practices
- Ensure that all immigration programs comply with applicable immigration rules and regulations
- Update and propose process improvements to immigration policies and procedures
- Conduct ongoing audits of existing policies and practices in order to comply with legislative changes on the federal, state, or local level
- Maintain relationships with contractor and other contingent worker / temp agencies to ensure employment law compliance
- Assist with design and execution of effective processes to monitor J.B. Hunt compliance with its equal employment and affirmative action obligations under applicable law
- Conduct background monitoring for current employees and resolve background investigation issues
- Partner with other internal departments, business units and senior management to ensure the effective implementation of compliance policies
- Collaborate as needed with HR Centers of Expertise and HR Operations to ensure that human resources core services are delivered effectively and efficiently
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications :

Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or relevant field.This position is not eligible for employment-based sponsorship.
Compensation : Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company's bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
