job_description.job_card.job_descriptionAcute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to fulfill the Advanced Practice Provider Pediatric ENT opportunity at the Children’s Hospital of Illinois located in Peoria, Illinois. Close collaboration with our Pediatric Otolaryngologists and PAs within the hospital, clinic and OR settings. Travel to CHOI outreach clinics and participation in multidisciplinary clinics will be required. The ideal candidate will have experience in ENT or a willingness to learn the subspecialty. No evening call. No weekends. According to professional standards of care, performs a variety of advanced nursing / physician assistant functions. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served. Located in Peoria, OSF HealthCare Children’s Hospital of Illinois is the third largest pediatric hospital in Illinois and the most comprehensive hospital for kids downstate. With 136 beds and more than 140 pediatric subspecialists, OSF Children’s Hospital cares for more children in Illinois than any hospital outside of Chicago. Formally established as a pediatric hospital within the walls of OSF HealthCare Saint Francis Medical Center in 1990, OSF Children’s Hospital of Illinois has more than 7,000 inpatient admissions, 75,000 outpatient specialty visits, 2,400 newborn deliveries, and 18,000 emergency department visits each year. Through OSF Innovation and a collaboration with the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria, OSF Children’s Hospital provides pediatric educational programming and hands-on training for novice clinicians and medical professionals to improve the safety, effectiveness and efficiency of care across the region. Beyond that, physicians and nurses within OSF Children’s Hospital work with OSF Innovation to generate ideas, problem-solve and adopt health care solutions to transform the health care industry. This has resulted in a partnership with National Institutes of Health on a 3D Heart Library; the development of an Advanced Imaging Modeling program that’s transforming how the world approaches imaging; and the launch of a new company that’s changing how medical education is delivered. Certification as an acute care specialty nurse practitioner or physician assistant through a nationally recognized certifying body is required. For APNs, surgical assist certification will be required after completion of training program

- Clinical base hourly pay range for this position : $60.39-$68.10. This is a salaried position.
