Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Purpose :

Supports staff in the provision of patient care, including recording vital signs, discussing chief health concerns, performing tests, administering injections, and assisting with procedures and documentation.

Primary Responsibilities :

• Measure and record patient's vital signs, i.e.; blood pressure, pulse, etc.
• Discusses with patients any chief health concerns and records them.
• Performs any tests (if required for patient care).
• Administers injections (if required for patient care).
• Keeps medical records current.
• Provides wound care (if required for patient care).
• Prepares and / or administers (if needed) and records prescribed medication.
• Administers and or supervises the administration of prescribed medications after ordered by Medical Director
• Obtains orders from medical provider(s) for all medication administration; oral, IM, SL, SQ
• Records any adverse reaction to medication, reports to supervisor, and notes in EMR.
• Assists in relevant health teaching to patient, if needed.
• Keeps electronic medical record (EMR) current.
• Records all care information concisely, accurately, and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format, on all appropriate forms.
• Reviews and signs off on patient charts.
• Performs other position-related duties as assigned.
• Completes required training as directed by Freeman Recovery Center, LLC.
• Follows Freeman Recovery Center, LLC and OSHA safety rules, policies, and procedures.

Education and Experience, Degree and / or Certification required (if applicable) :
