The Role : Civil CAD / GIS Technician

We’re seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Civil CAD / GIS Technician to support construction and geospatial workflows. This role blends CAD drafting, GIS mapping, and data integration to deliver precise, actionable visuals and documentation for infrastructure and site development projects.

We Could Count on You With :

  • Developing and maintaining civil site plans, grading layouts, utility schematics, and construction details using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Translating engineering sketches and survey data into accurate digital drawings
  • Supporting design iterations and revisions based on field changes and client feedback
  • Creating planimetric deliverables using LiDAR and photogrammetry data
  • Creating and managing geospatial datasets using ArcGIS or QGIS platforms
  • Integrating survey data, drone imagery, and LiDAR scans into GIS workflows
  • Generating maps for State, County, Local Governments and stakeholder presentations
  • Collaborating with engineers, surveyors & field teams to ensure data accuracy and consistency
  • Assisting in compiling deliverables such as plan sets, exhibits, and geospatial reports
  • Maintaining organized file structures and version control across projects
  • Coordinating with project managers and field personnel to align CAD / GIS outputs with construction timelines
  • Supporting permitting and compliance documentation with spatial data overlays
  • Assisting in preparing visual aids for proposals, client meetings, and public outreach

What Experience You’ll Bring :

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and / or ArcGIS / QGIS
  • Familiarity with civil engineering concepts, site development, and utility layouts
  • Experience with GPS, RTK, or drone-based data collection is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

    • What Sets You Apart :

  • Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D and associated Autodesk products
  • Experience with GIS systems, such as QGIS, ArcGIS, and associated Esri software
  • Familiarity with construction phases and field coordination
  • Experience with Trimble Office is a plus
