\n\nJob Description\n

The Registered Nurse (RN) ensures the delivery of high-quality care by adhering to the nursing care plan and supervising Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants. The RN is dedicated to patient and employee safety and promotes a culture of safety within the work environment.

\n\nResponsibilities\n \n

  • Perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission.
  • \n

  • Identify teaching needs and goals related to each patient's diagnosis.
  • \n

  • Provide timely patient information for team conferences and ensure accurate documentation.
  • \n

  • Participate in the rehabilitation program, focusing on direct patient care.
  • \n

  • Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
  • \n

  • Communicate changes in patient status to appropriate care providers.
  • \n

  • Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel; delegate tasks appropriately.
  • \n

  • Maintain personal and environmental safety in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • \n

  • Actively engage in team-building activities to foster a positive work environment.
  • \n

  • Assume charge responsibilities as needed following orientation.
  • \n

  • Pursue professional development through continuing education and self-study.
  • \n \n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n \n

  • BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
  • \n

  • ACLS certification required prior to first shift (CIRH ONLY).
  • \n

  • Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience preferred.
