Overview

Banks Construction Company, a privately owned asphalt paving / heavy highway contractor located in the Southeastern U.S., is seeking to hire a new Chief Financial Officer. The current CFO is retiring after almost 30 years of service. The Company is a third-generation business with operating entities and other passive real estate investment entities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Best of Class monthly financial reporting and Work in Process schedules.
  • Manage Job Cost Accounting, Asphalt Plant Material Costing, Equipment Costing, Risk / Insurance Management, Cash Management, Fixed Asset Accounting, Tax Compliance, Information Technology, Human Resources and related responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as CFO or Controller of a construction contractor or entity with similar scope of responsibility.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting and CPA certification required.
  • CCIFP or other professional certifications preferred. However, a successful applicant will be required to pass the CCIFP exam.
  • Experience with Spectrum Enterprise Software, B2W Operational Suite, Prophix or similar construction accounting software is a plus.
  • Strong Excel and IT skills are required.
