The Iowa City, IA Veterans Affairs Medical Center is recruiting Nuclear Medicine Technologists! Supervisory & staff positions available.
Supervisory Nuclear Medicine Technologist : Serves as the Supervisory Nuclear Medicine Technologist, responsible for personnel management, program administration, as well as, performing as a staff technologist. Must have knowledge of sufficient breadth and depth to effectively handle routine daily procedures, unusual, difficult, or unexpected situations, as well as interpersonal staff interactions which may have the potential to affect the delivery of Nuclear Medicine services to patients.
Staff Nuclear Medicine Technologist : Responsible for performing a full range of routine and non-routine radionuclide studies to aid in the diagnosis of various organ functional disorders. Work independently, in performing routine and non-routine imaging procedures. Performs, evaluates, and monitors quality control measurements of specialized equipment used in the performance of imaging studies, such as camera imaging systems (SPECT / CT, PET / CT), computers, dose calibrators, well / probe detector systems, and other ancillary equipment used daily.
NMTCB or ARRT (N) certification is required, along with 3-4 years minimum
experience. Leadership experience required for supervisory position.
