Bridge Project Manager Albany, NY

A leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking a Bridge Project Manager to join its Albany office. This is a senior-level role responsible for managing bridge projects, client relationships, and business development initiatives while providing technical leadership on complex transportation infrastructure projects.

The successful candidate will be both a proven technical expert in bridge engineering and a strong leader with demonstrated experience managing projects, winning work, and building long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities :

Manage and oversee all phases of assigned bridge design and rehabilitation projects
Serve as the primary client liaison , ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to client satisfaction
Lead and participate in business development efforts , including client meetings, proposal development, and presentations
Provide technical expertise in bridge engineering, including design, analysis, reporting, and specification preparation
Monitor and control project scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards
Develop and maintain strong client relationships across New York State, particularly with transportation agencies and municipalities
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the technical and professional growth of the bridge team

Qualifications :

Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (Masters a plus)

PE license required

15+ years of progressive bridge engineering and project management experience

Experience delivering projects for NYSDOT, NYSTA, and Local Federal Aid programs

Established client relationships within the New York transportation sector

Proven track record in business development, proposal preparation, and project pursuits

Strong oral / written communication and presentation skills; ability to represent the firm at a senior level

Excellent project management expertise, with knowledge of industry-standard processes and tools

Compensation & Benefits :

Competitive alary range : $107,000 $145,000
