Senior Data Analyst – Infrastructure, Reporting, Strategic Sourcing

Heartland Dental is the nation's largest dental support organization, providing non-clinical administrative support services to more than 3,000 supported doctors across 39 states and the District of Columbia in over 1,800 dental offices. We’re looking for a Senior Data Analyst to help transform lab and transactional data into structured, business-ready insights. You’ll work closely with our internal and external personnel to support the development of reliable data pipelines, contribute to ELT workflows, and lead reporting efforts for sourcing and procurement.

This is a hybrid role that blends data transformation, modeling, and analytics enablement. The ideal candidate is technically strong, detail-oriented, and capable of supporting scalable data flows that power strategic reporting. This role requires the ability to work independently while being able to communicate with various stakeholders.

We prefer this role be based in St. Louis, Indianapolis or Effingham, IL, or within reasonable commuting distance to one of those offices.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with the internal Data Services team to enhance and optimize ELT processes (Extract, Load, Transform) for transactional and supplier data.
• Perform data validation, cleaning, and transformation to ensure reporting accuracy
• Define, document and help implement best practices for data governance and definitions
• Support integration of new supplier or product datasets by structuring and transforming raw data into clean, analysis-ready format
• Build and maintain reporting layers and dashboards using BI tools (e.g., SAP Hana models, Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
• Contribute to the development and documentation of data models to support sourcing and procurement metrics.
• Provide ad hoc reporting and analytics requests to support business and procurement decision making
• Other projects as assigned
