Datto Administrator Work location :

  • Woodlands TX (Houston), Hybird A Datto Administrator manages Datto products like RMM (Remote Monitoring and Management), Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery (BCDR), and SaaS Protection to ensure IT infrastructure is monitored, maintained, and secure for clients. Key responsibilities include  troubleshooting data loss ,  automating tasks , deploying software,  patching systems , and implementing disaster recovery plans. This role requires strong technical skills in IT support, networking, and problem-solving, often working within a  Managed Service Provider (MSP)  environment.  Key Responsibilities Monitor and Maintain Systems :   Use Datto RMM to monitor the health of client devices and networks.  Automate Tasks :   Deploy, configure, and manage the Datto RMM platform to automate routine maintenance tasks.  Troubleshoot Issues :   Respond to alerts, troubleshoot data loss, assist with system restores, and manage client issues efficiently.  Manage Data Protection :   Schedule and perform disaster recovery drills, troubleshoot backup failures, and guide clients on data protection best practices.  Patch and Security Management :   Deploy and manage software patches for client systems and ensure overall network security.  Client Communication :   Provide support and communicate with internal teams and clients to resolve issues and manage expectations.  Report Generation :   Create reports on system performance, security incidents, and other IT-related metrics.  Essential Skills and Qualifications Technical Expertise :   Strong proficiency in Datto products, including RMM, BCDR, and SaaS Protection.  IT Support Skills :   Knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, server management, and cloud-based platforms.  Problem-Solving :   Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex IT issues.  Automation :   Experience with scripting and using RMM tools to automate IT tasks and workflows.  Communication :   Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.  Customer Service :   A customer-centric approach to ensure high-quality support and client satisfaction.  Relevant Certifications :   Industry-recognized certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft) or Datto-specific training are often beneficial.  Typical Work Environment Managed Service Providers (MSPs) :   Datto Administrators are frequently employed by MSPs to manage IT for multiple clients.  Proactive Management :   The role focuses on proactively managing technology environments to minimize downtime and optimize performance.  Remote Work :   Many Datto RMM specialists work remotely, leveraging the platform to manage client endpoints from a distance.  Powered by JazzHR
