The Vice President, Insurance & Group Analytics Leader, plays a key leadership role in delivering insightful, actionable financial analytics and reporting that supports the accuracy, transparency, and performance measurement across all legal entities and reporting bases. This role enables data-driven account-level commentary through standardized reporting and contributes to the broader internal control framework through a deep analytical review including automation and data visualization.

The position reports to the SVP, Insurance & Group Controller.

What You Will Do :

  • Lead the development and delivery of standard financial performance reporting including FX, variance, and trend analytics.
  • Drive the management basis accounting reviews and related commentary
  • Serve as the lead for account-level commentary development, analytical review controls, and root cause analyses of fluctuations.
  • Develop commentary frameworks for regulatory reporting
  • Support the SUM and SAB 99 preparation processes where relevant
  • Partner with FP&A, Business Partners, Actuarial, and other business units to align reporting outputs, templates, and storytelling.
  • Champion the use of leading automation, visualization tools, and interactive dashboards to modernize reporting workflows.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance analytics processes to increase value and reduce manual effort.
  • Build and lead a high-functioning team of reporting analysts, supporting both core reporting and project-based analytics.
  • Drive standardization and documentation of processes to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure transparency and audit readiness.
  • Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative, results-oriented culture.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, automation, and accountability.

What You Will Have :

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in financial analytics, reporting, or FP&A within the (re)insurance industry.
  • Advanced data visualization / reporting tool expertise (e.g., Power BI, Tableau.
  • Thorough knowledge of Life & Annuity (re)insurance industry accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP / US STAT / SFS and EBS accounting rules and requirements
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Workday)
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • High level of integrity and dependability.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence senior leadership.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong process and control orientation, with experience in audits, walkthroughs, and control enhancement.
  • External vendor oversight.
  • Proven change agent with automation, AI and systems implementation experience preferred.

    The base salary range for this role is listed below and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. In addition to base salary, all employees are eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance as well as a generous benefits package.

    Base Salary Range

    $180,000 — $240,000 USD
