Job Description

Telemundo El Paso / Las Cruces is currently looking for an individual with a comprehensive understanding of television news production, with outstanding writing and verbal communications skills. Candidate must also have knowledge of Adobe Premiere editing system, and camera operation.

• Candidate will be responsible for shooting, writing, and editing daily stories for “on-air” and digital productions, as well as gather material to contribute building the rundown.
• Candidate will also be responsible to assist in the production of the live broadcast.
• Responsibilities also include keeping up to date on current events and news in the state of New Mexico, with special focus on Dona Ana County and the city of Las Cruces.
• Individual will be willing to live in Las Cruces, NM.
• The Multimedia Journalist will be expected to participate in community events and station activities from time to time as Master of Ceremonies and / or Host as requested by the station.
• Gather news information and prepare presentations for live, online, streaming productions and social media.
• Will be responsible to create content for social media, including Reels and livestreaming on station platforms.
• Candidate will also upload the assigned daily story package to the website.
