About The Position

1 North Extended : This unit primarily focuses on short stay (1-2 days) medical / surgical patients.  This unit is a supportive environment for a new nurse to grow their nursing skills by learning to take care of a wide variety of patients, or an experienced nurse who enjoys caring for patients who move through their hospital stay quickly.  We have a great mentoring / precepting program, focused on teamwork, positivity, and growth to support you in your nursing goals.

1 South : This unit is located at Regional Medical Center on the 1st floor. 1 South has 22 beds, they are an acute care unit that cares for any kind of infection, complications from chronic diseases and comorbidities.

2 North Extended : This is a 24 bed Medical Surgical unit. This unit primarily focuses on short stay surgeries (1-2 days) specializing in gynecology oncology, urology and procedural gastroenterology.  This unit is a supportive environment for a new nurse to grow their nursing skills by learning to take care of a wide variety of patients or an experienced nurse who has a passion for these specialties.  We have a great mentoring / precepting program, focused on teamwork, positivity and growth to support you in your nursing goals.

5 South : This unit is located at Regional Medical Center on the 5th floor. 5 South has 22 beds, they are an acute care unit that cares for any kind of infection, complications from chronic diseases and comorbidities.

6 Medical : This unit is located at Regional Medical Center on the 6th floor. 6 Medical has 36 beds, they are an acute care unit that cares for any kind of infection, complications from chronic diseases and comorbidities.

7 Medical : 7 Medical has 36 beds, they are an acute care unit that cares for any kind of infection, complications from chronic diseases and comorbidities.

5 Surgical : The 5-Surgical unit is located on the 5th floor of Regional Medical Center.  This is a 36 bed Med Surg unit with varying levels of acuity depending on the patient’s phase of recovery.  The majority of patients are recovering from general surgery or colorectal procedures.
