Structural Engineer Qualifications And Responsibilities
- Develop designs for building structures, bridges, foundations, and other civil engineering projects, ensuring they meet safety, durability, and cost-efficiency standards
- Conduct calculations and simulations to analyze the strength and stability of structural elements, including beams, columns, and foundations, using software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and structural analysis programs
- Ensure that designs comply with local, state, and national building codes and regulations
- Prepare the necessary documentation for regulatory approvals and submit permits for construction, ensuring that all aspects of the design adhere to legal and safety standards
- Ensure that safety procedures and risk management strategies are implemented during the design and construction phases to protect workers and the public
- Proficiency in designing and analyzing structures (buildings, bridges, foundations, etc.) to ensure they are safe, functional, and compliant with building codes and regulations
- Ability to analyze complex structural challenges and devise innovative solutions
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field required
- OSHA 10 / OSHA 30 certification or the ability to obtain
- WY PE License or ability to obtain
