Job Description
We are currently hiring a Powerhouse Maintenance tech in Breinigsville, PA.
This position is responsible for monitoring and maintenance of a 24 / 7 Brewery Utility System. Requires a
high level technical competency with Brewery Utility Systems such as boilers, refrigeration, carbon
dioxide, compressed air, water conditioning and chemical treatment, waste control and waste recovery.
Candidate must be a self-starter willing to accept "operational responsibility" as well as willing to work any
shift including weekends. Additional operation, monitor, and repair duties and responsibilities are listed,
but not limited to, below.
What You'll Brew :
- Responsible for monitoring, diagnostics repair and maintenance of all brewery utility systems in
- accordance with manufacturer and company standards, including but not limited to;
- High pressure steam boilers and auxiliary equipment including fuel, water, and steam
condensate return system.
Ammonia / glycol refrigeration systemCarbon dioxide bulk unloading, storage, vaporization pressure control, distribution, andrecovery system
Waste water control facility including effluent conditioningEmergency response to brewery evacuation system and C02 alarms.Fire suppression systemBrewery HVAC including dehumidification equipmentAir compressors and compressed air distribution systemBrewery feed water supply, pasteurization, conditioning, and distribution systemProcess motors, pumps, heat exchangers, sanitary sewer and ground water pumpsAble to perform high voltage switch gear 69,000 volt switching under direct supervision.Must be able to work in and promote a team oriented and "Safety First" environment.Safely, efficiently and effectively work to attain department and brewery goals and
objectives.
Observe and practice all Brewery Safety Procedures. Includes wearing proper PPE at alltimes.
Accurately document, record, and update utility readings and daily logsUse the computerized maintenance management system, be proactive and preventiveSupport maintenance and engineering projects and initiatives.Work safely; maintain good sanitation and good manufacturing practices.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for longperiods of time monitoring computer systems. Will also climb flights of stairs, work from
elevated areas, and wear a respirator eye and / or hearing protection when required by the
job.
Diagnose and repair all machinery and process system malfunctions, must be fluent inmechanical or electrical troubleshooting.
Diagnose and repair all mechanical power transmission equipment. Knowledge of Gear boxes,mechanical drives, and variable speed applications.
Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Knowledge of Cylinders, valves,manifolds, vacuum systems, air filtration and lubrication devices.
Proficient in knowledge of bearings, pulleys, chain drives, belt drives, and lubricants standardsand applications.
Utilize verniers, calipers, and depth gauges etc.What Ingredients You'll Bring :
Minimum Qualifications :
Experience in the installation and repair of mechanical equipment required.Experience and knowledge in the use of personal / process control computers, programmable logic controllers (PLC), and Networking devices a plus.480v 3 phase knowledge required.Experience and or knowledge of VFD's, control systems (PLC's / HMI's), electrical protective devices.Excellent mechanical troubleshooting ability.Experience with participative leadership and time management.Basic understanding of statistical process control and problem solving skills required.Proven analytical, planning, problem-solving, and project management skills.Ability to be flexible and shift priorities in a constantly changing, fast-paced work environment..Competent in using Microsoft Office, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint.Physical Requirements
