About The Position

Job Title : RN - Labor & Delivery / Postpartum

Profession : Registered Nurse

Shift : 12hr Night Shift

Hours per Shift : 36

Experience : Minimum of 2 years of Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) experience required.

License : RN License required.

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, EFM, NRP required. NCC-EFM or RNC-OB preferred.

Must-Have : Experience with all aspects of LDRP patient care, including circulating c-sections and newborn care.

Description :

The RN will work in the Labor & Delivery / Postpartum unit.

The facility serves approximately 1,500 patients annually.

The unit contains 29 beds and one operating room suite.

Patient ratios are based on acuity, with 1-3 Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) per shift.

The RN will manage high-risk diagnoses such as postpartum hemorrhage, diabetes with insulin requirements, premature rupture of membranes, and placenta previa.

Common gynecological surgeries include hysterectomies.

The position requires the ability to work collaboratively with staff, including OB Technicians and receptionists.

Support includes charge nurses, case managers, hospitalists or OB physicians available 24 / 7, and lactation consultants.

Traveling within the region may be required based on patient needs.

The RN will be compensated for travel time if floating mid-shift.

The schedule follows a six-week cycle and allows for up to 6 days off, excluding holidays.

Scrubs should be navy blue or business casual when not on duty, with hospital-issued scrubs worn while working.
