Electrical Maintenance Specialist

A multi-site chemical / manufacturing / distribution company needs an electrical specialist to work with electrical power systems maintenance / reliability and troubleshooting at their operation in Port Arthur as well as assist other operation regionally.

Travel - may be up to 50%, but note the pay will reflect it

Some Position Info :

• Develop and implement maintenance / reliability solutions for power / distribution at the facilities.
• Work with medium to high-voltage systems at several plants in a region (30% or more travel depending on location – email to ask me)
• Work independently at site, including knowing when to request
• Work with all aspects of developing, implementing maintenance and reliability programs :
• Power distribution, substations, transformers, etc, from 138Kv on down
• The “usual” breakers, switchgear, relay systems, battery / UPS
• Work with massive 15kv motors up to 20,000hp+, compressors, pumps, etc.
• Reliability programs – oil analysis, IR thermography, discharge and power analysis, etc
• Root cause analysis and corrective action plans
• Assist with shutdown (aka turnaound) planning and electrical work

Qualifications :

Salary : At / over $100,000 / yr plus overtime
